On the 'your dime' part, there are numbers. GAO priced four early Mar-a-Lago trips at $13.6 million in federal costs. HuffPost's estimate for first-term travel to his own resorts hit about $151.5 million by Dec. 2020. Only part of that reached his businesses, but taxpayers covered all of it.
