Thinking it's possible to make a go of it on the ๐Ÿฆ‹ appโ€”well, I really hope it works out for everyone. Here's wishing you much success in the transition.

eh, I just liked showing friends, there's not a lot of people on here I know. I'm not very good, it was just for fun. I never painted til the pandemic. Now I started making macrame lol, I'm so bored.

Farcebook became a real pain. They kept showing hundreds of suggested pages I had to continually delete just to see posts from family and friends. Besides they allow scammers to post things for sale that do not exist. An almost new car for $1000. Itโ€™s in a warehouse and you need to send $1000 etc

Some time ago someone told me that on the backside of the big billboard with the FB logo at the entrance of it's campus still has Sun Microsystems on the back. Left that way as a reminder that FB could end just as quickly as it did for Sun. LET'S HOPE IT'S SOON!

I'm working on it. Reassessing all of my needs and wants and where I will choose to spend my resources to procure them. I want eco-friendly, non toxic and ethically produced products. It really is a shame that most of the time that means higher cost.

The best way to put a Twitter account to use is to use it to encourage people to join the exodus and come here, not delete it. Harder but ultimately more meaningful. If we delete our X accounts we isolate ourselves from the very people we need to reach. Post the above graphic on Twitter not here.

This is a great campaign except it is not good to promote it here on Bsky. The best strategy to try to encourage an exodus from X is to organize, build a movement on Bsky, get power accounts involved on Twitter, flood the zone on X, and then get millions to leave. That will take a lot of time.

It might even be counterproductive because it will isolate Bsky activists from the Twitter community, the exact peopel we need to reach to encourage an exodus. So yes, everyone should leave those platforms and come here as soon as possible.

But strategically, it's better to do what Mark Cuban is doing and encourage Bsky users to bring more people to Bsky than to encourage Bsky users to delete their Twitter accounts. They are already here--it's preaching to the converted.

Once again, what if i do actually consider it a virtue to reject this particular company at this particular moment in time? Virtue signalingโ€ฆlike itโ€™s a bad thingโ€ฆ. Peace out, Zuck โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ–•

Asking for a friend: If deleting your FB account is virtue signalling, are new users iniquity signalling? - Is there a goodie bag for that? ;-)

I'm one of the folks Zuck mentioned that would leave the social media petri dish because of his decisions. Gee, hope I didn't start something! **snarky** Left Twitter right after muskrat acquired it.
