Working on a bi-weekly newsletter and website update that I manage for a local advocacy group (engagetuolumne.org). #FreelanceFriends

That looks like an amazingly good cause to be involved with - and the website looks great. Local journalism is so important and neglected. #FreelanceFriends

I've always struggled to find suitable volunteer opportunities. It's surprising that it's so difficult. #FreelanceFriends

I used to sit on the board of Volunteer Toronto, an agency that helps connect volunteers and United Way agencies. Also helped agencies professionalize their operations. Maybe there’s something like that near you?

I need to get in touch with United Way, for sure. I really wanted to volunteer for the literacy program at the library, but the times just haven't worked out. #FreelanceFriends
