In Firefox 147, you no longer need heavy libraries to (de)compress brotli with JS - you can just use CompressionStream and DecompressionStream!

add zstd support to this and I can die happy

Keep an eye on github.com/whatwg/compr...

Do you want this in CompressionStream, or would DecompressionStream be enough?

DecompressionStream primarily. I load a zstd-compressed corpus and decompress it on the client with a zstd library currently, and that's quite a bit of slow unneeded JS
