This one hits close to home. Lilly had a very leaky mitral valve (murmur lvl 5) & very enlarged heart. We we very lucky meds were successful. She lived 3+ yrs after diagnosis to age 16. Here she was after a congestive heart failure diagnosis and a diuretic shot. 180° shift from a few hours earlier.

Lilly did eventually pass away from heart failure but the intervening years were active ones briming w/ full chihuahua attitude. Here she is patrolling her favorite picnic spot, Esrey Park, Keweenaw County later in 2019.
