I don't believe them in the slightest. Of course they'd say that, they wouldn't want to be investigated by any country into their influence on elections.

Unfortunately, the influence (or not) of any one channel is very, very hard to measure. Usually, when political scientists do try and measure it, the answer tends to be within the margin of error for "none".
