It's important to remember that this kind of performative dehumanization is a show of loyalty. @tante.cc wrote about this in relation to the press, but the deeper reason AI people keep saying the most shameful anti-life shit is to show that they're willing to burn their family for the ideology.

It's a filter: if you're willing to throw your wife and infant child under the bus like this, in public, you can be trusted to endorse and execute other, less public kinds of shameful behavior. It's the same reason totalitarians like Trump insist that you call it "Lake America."
