Now, it's not the ultraviolence that makes Dark Sun. It's the ecoterrorism and slow death of a climate, ecosystem, functioning society. But I'll keep my fingers' crossed. I get how the #WotC team would lead with dudes getting decapitated as a hook. The magic-caused desertification can come later.

(Of course, it's not like I'm playing 5E these days, but I'm generally of the mind that the better #DungeonsAndDragons does - and the more visibility it has in pop culture - the better it is for the #ttrpg hobby as a whole.)
