When I worked in a law firm, I was required to go in and out of at least 5 different programs that required individual licenses. This is not unheard of, nor is it rare. Just goes to show how desperate they are to find something to cut.

“The new administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations. This largely aligns with our vision.” – Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary for Vladimir Putin Yep, Trump and Musk are Russian agents.

True, but also- most people use many software packages so having a couple of licenses per person, for different products, is normal. This guy is such a fake, in addition to being a fascist

Wise up folks this is a Tech Coup. He is attempting to co-opt his minions to indispensable positions of importance so his future sponsored software will be contracted. Exactly how he is pushing Starlink over Verizon.

Oh dear god...if you're argument for cost savings is down to licensing costs, you've found nothing else. This is them admitting that they've ran out of any verifiable fraud and now are just making things up. This is basic tech management....

Sometimes they are sold in increments, maybe they aren’t charging any more money for the number of licenses they have vs what they use! Organizations purchasing software licensing understand the changes over time and the relationships that give you more that you don’t pay for! This is pocket coins

I am one person, with a virtual counselling practice, and I have like 5 cybersecurity subscriptions...just for me. Is that not a good thing when you have sensitive information, in this age of hackers and scammers....? 🤔

Self described "tech genius" is unfamiliar with the concept of the annual true-up on software licensing along with a software suite requiring more than one license per user. Our government is being torn apart by complete morons.

It's funny how no matter field Elon tries to talk about, there's an expert in that field telling everyone how Musk is an idiot in that field. Shit, Karl Jobst just did a massive takedown of Elon claiming to have been a top Quake player back in the day...

Turns out that Musk's claim (team came in second at one of the first big money Quake events and won thousands of $s) was that it was a tournament not attended by any top-level team/player (they weren't using MPlayer) and they were at a huge competitive advantage by having the highest speed internet.

Karl found this specific tournament where Musk's clan (ZIP; they worked at his zip2 website) did come 2nd, won $750 (split 4 ways), and only one major clan (Olympus) participated because MPlayer sucked as a service and top players were using private connections. MPlayer favored the fastest internet.

So yeah, Elon is talking about how good he was at Quake as if he was a terrific race car driver because a NASCAR Cup team finance his 2nd place car at the Oxford 250. Or like, he was an awesome baseball player because he played a couple of seasons for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
