Wasn't Google one of the top places to work?

I feel bad that they lost their jobs, yet at the same time not so much, because what they were working on was 100% unwanted bullshit.

Being someone who doesn't AI I didn't realise until recently how biased Google Gemini. It claims facts are false even when providing links to scientific journals. It's basically Google but curated to be 100% rightist and fact gatekeeping. Perplexity seems more modest, it aligns with the user's data.

I understand MS also had some layoffs in their AI group. Is the AI boom cooling off?
