Can't believe @wired.com is buying the obvious bullshit about allowing solar to generate at night, with no pushback. There is no circumstance under which it wouldn't be cheaper to just build double the number of solar panels and a decent sized battery next to them to supply overnight electricity.

Musk’s Starlink extravaganza isn’t helping either. And then there’s the navigation hazards & potential health problems he’s causing by cluttering up the neighbourhood with space junk & its toxic detritus. Planetary matters shouldn’t be up to the US to decide. Maybe Earth needs a planning committee.
