I knew AI would be used for propaganda and misinformation and exploitative non-consensual sexual material... When it showed up in the cute animal videos that were like one of my last sources of reliable dopamine, I was unprepared for that level of violation of my trust. I fucking hate it.

I hate that I cannot trust any cute amazing or adorable video of an animal doing something that I hadn't already seen prior to 2022. *EVERY* new video, I can't enjoy without forensically scouring it for AI telltales. These fuckers stole my joy and whimsy. And I will never forgive them for that.

Intentional infliction of emotional distress is a crime. I’m not sure that sharing altered or AI generated images needs to be a crime (we’ve lived with manipulated images since the beginning of photography), but it’s certainly proper photo etiquette to label them correctly.
