I understand why gene editing organs are starting with kidneys, because "At first, do no harm" means that if it fails, the recipient can go back to dialysis. There's no such fallback for other organs. Kidneys are just the first step before livers, hearts, and lungs. But then there's the ethics. 😑

I've had two kidney transplants 25 years apart, the first from a deceased, anonymous donor, and the second from a living donor, the youngest daughter of my closest friend. The first lasted 20 years; the current is 21 years and going well. I've also had both Haemo and Peritoneal dialysis.

The human body has an amazing ability to heal and the female body literally creates life. Are those studied? Nope! They would rather drug us up and cut into us because there’s no money in cures

Of course there is money in cures. I'm guessing you're living in a user-pays medical system which fuels the cynicism you feel. Change the medical system to socialised medicine and life improves dramatically. My 2 transplants cost nix. My drugs are subsidised. Drs & hospitals are free to use, etc.
