Instagram is the only app I've ever had on any of my phones that ever spied on me. It was listening to a conversation I had with a friend. I was at her side while she was in the hospital. It heard our conversation. My phone was powered down (not off but screen off) in my pocketbook. App was off.

I had logged on to Instagram for the first time in over a year. It forced me to update, which I did. A day or 2 after that, I logged in again just to discover AN AD for the thing my friend & I had discussed (obscure). Was very first thing in my feed. Voice permission was set as default on.
