The chemicals they use to "clean up oil spills" just sinks it to the bottom where we can't see it. There are multiple documentaries about it. That is how they killed the seafood industry in the Gulf. They even tried to regulate the chemical but it's always after the fact.

Why do you all need them to tell you that it's bad 100 times before you remember one thing? If you can't handle remembering why it's bad, just remember that it is just bad. Maybe if everyone had to take a shower in it and then try to get clean it would sink in more.

fact: Oil DISSOLVES to some extent in water Doubt me? Put a single drop of diesel in a glass of cold tap water. Swirl it around. Now drink it if you dare. Crude oil is a lot worse Crude oil leaks are instant AND long term disaster even if cleaned up immediately
