I've been corrected in that solicitations for your vote and this inquiries to public opinion are now permitted. 😶 This has been updated since I last checked. You can still report if they solicit donations. This is absurd to me, because what is stopping from businesses for soliciting your vote for

Business of the Year? Or getting them to follow your social media? Or subscribe to their newsletter? Why are political messages exempt while non-profits and charities are not?? Surely charities should be allowed to send awareness emails? But nope, not exempt.

I have sent an email to the CRTC asking for clarification. This CASL officer would like to know why political parties and candidates get a special exception to spam citizens.✌️
