Post

Ever found yourself mid-blog post draft when a reader has a question about yesterday's post? You no longer need to leave the editor and reload your draft. Meet OpenStation (formerly Desktop Mode), a free plugin that opens your @wordpress.org admin screens as windows in one browser tab. 🖥️

Drag photos from your media library, or a whole folder from your computer, straight into a draft. Click the eye icon to preview your post as you write. Set up separate workspaces–the windows stay open until you close them.

In our tests, getting back to a screen in classic WP Admin took 2.4 to 3.7 seconds. With OpenStation, nothing needed to load. Your layout follows you between computers, and there's an experimental phone app too.
