Today's D&D Session was solid if expositional. I did a lot of verbose descriptions in their planar travels along with one small Ambush encounter. They went from the city of Sigil to Ecstasy in the Outlands to Elysium and the Castle of Lathander where they got their first set of long term goals.

We now have a character starting a Fraternity of Celestial Warlocks and his cohort starting an Watchful order for Paladin Protectors both in service of Lathander (and his leadership team) as a branch of the overarching plot.

They are part of an alliance of celestial and divine beings subverting bits of the Blood War to prevent it from spilling over and wrecking other realms or beings of importance. So far we have Lathandar, several powerful celestials, and archfey based on Prince, at least one Nature God, and more.
