i think what's making me feel so weird is that i'm used to looking through open source projects and knowing that whatever was there was a product of care, love, and thought. it felt so lovely and warm!

Gotta say, as someone that spent 15 years of my spare time hacking away at a fan-made remake of a PS1 game, I have rather complicated feelings about the fact that people can just use AI agents to make native ports now in the space of days.

and now to feel that warmth towards a project i have to go through a process of suspicion, one where a clean and professional readme/website/ci is no longer a mark of pride but pretty good reason to feel even more suspicious.
