A 'detailed assessment' concluded that there are "...currently several breaches in the existing compartmentation lines and the Fire Alarm System (FAS) is old and does not comply with current regulations nor meet the requirements of National Trust insurers; all of which present an unacceptable risk to the mansion and its occupants".
