Stumbled on one of these unhinged accounts using throngs of #hashtags. And now I feel badly self-conscious. Since I also use a small set of hashtags, as this account is bridged toward the Fediverse. Where hashtags are a key means to find posts. Do I look weird doing that ?

I'm looking forward to seeing what consensus you get, too, because I love tags. When my brain suddenly pops up a one-seventeenth sliver of That Thing I Read Sometime Ago Re: A Squirrel Wearing Green, I love that a hunt through the GreenLantern tag could get me to Ch'p. Tagspammers are merely spam.
