How to fuck up revenue.

This is *not* government efficiency! Collection and audit personnel have a very good ROI. And we, the people, should be able to reach knowledgeable employees to help us with tax matters. This allows the wealthy to continue to evade paying their fair share while hindering most people. Stupid!

I can’t believe people who make less than $40,000 a year have to pay any income taxes at all with the way things are. I know that is a lot of people, but we have enough massive corporations to make up the difference.

People may not like the IRS, but let's not pretend that cutting staffing at the IRS is about fraud, waste, or saving money. Cutting IRS staff doesn't save money. It only makes it easier for people who cheat on their taxes to get away with it.

If you don't pay your taxes, you don't have the right to say anything. I'm old and don't own enough to pay taxes, except every damn thing I buy and pay for. I'm good with that.

How's that fucking audit going?

Soon enough they don't get anything from us. Once they cut Medicaid and Social Security for the elderly and disabled the shit is going to hit the fan. Social contracts are very important.

Maybe he'll just shut it down and America will get a huge TAX BREAK FOR LIFE! I am sure he would like to not have to pay all his lawyers to fill out all his tax loopholes for his IRS filing.

A greater & more consequential point. These 7,000 IRS agents were to focus on extracting $1 Trillion in unpaid federal income tax from rich individuals and large corporations. Again, Trump/GOP protects the rich. If DOGE was legitimate, it would have hired more IRS to extract needed tax revenue!

Trump should be honest and issue an Executive Order redacting “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s” from the Bible.
