Chaos Origins is officially #Yugioh set 1401, or the first core set of the 14th Series. This means series 13 only lasted four sets (1 year), by far the shortest we've ever had. We knew the aftermath of Tokyo Dome was gonna be a big shakeup but this is unprecedented and a real commitment to change.

Tokyo dome is an utterly enourmous venue with obscene overhead to rent out like that; it's also a time they have the entire company in one place. They used it to take stock, evaluate their position, and course correct a future, the results of which we'd feel starting after ~18 months.
