@rossindetroit.bsky.social I have this DC-DC boost converter I was using in a battery bank. It stopped working and I'd like to repair it but I haven't been able to identify what component failed. Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how to diagnose?

Sorry, I have never worked on a SMPS. Could be s lot of things and I would just be guessing. First guess: capacitors.

Checked capacitors, I think it's the switching IC that brings down to 12v. I did find a diode that is shorted so waiting on that replacement to check if anything else is bad. The AliExpress vendor I bought it from is gone and their website too 💀 I might have to design my own if I can't repair

Capacitor leaving the 12v switching converter was shorted and the main power mosfet and its driver were fried too. Swapped all the components and it's functioning again.
