Darn, just tested it on a new repo and that's super clean. Really fast, and multi buffer support, exactly the experience I expected from Zed.

The new Git Panel offers a quick view of your working tree and staging area. Stage changes, restore files, and see real-time updates from command line actions.

Commit easily with cmd-enter. Need help with commit messages? Zed can use AI to generate them for you. Plus, it automatically adds Co-Authored-By lines for team collaborations.

Quick commits are easy with the 'git::Commit' command palette action. Fetch, pull, and push are also accessible through shortcuts or the command palette.
