Corporate profits are at record highs — but revenue from corporate taxes has plummeted thanks to the tax cuts in Trump and Republicans’ big, ugly bill. Meanwhile, workers’ wages are stagnant and their share of the nation’s income is at a record low. Trickle-down economics was always a hoax.

Cary López Alvarado is a U.S. citizen, born in LA She says ICE goons kept speaking to her in Spanish and assuming she was from Mexico, even after she told them, again and again, that she was born here and speaks English. She was 9 months pregnant when she was detained by ICE.
