🪪 Texas requires a valid ID to vote. Accepted forms of ID include: ▪️ Texas driver’s license ▪️ Election identification certificate from Texas DPS ▪️ U.S. military ID with photo ▪️ U.S. citizenship certificate with photo ▪️ U.S. passport ▪️ And more!

If you’re a registered voter, you may still be able to cast a ballot if you don’t have — or no longer have — an accepted form of ID. You’ll need to fill out a “reasonable impediment declaration” at the polling location, if applicable.

There’s a coordinated attack on every students’ right to learn in classrooms and educational spaces across our country. Let’s stop banning books. How to resist. 🧵

1. Attend your local school board meetings. When book bans are on the agenda, you can attend — as a student, parent, or concerned community member — and deliver public comment opposing classroom censorship. You may need to sign up in advance to speak.

2. Volunteer to serve on a Library Reconsideration Committee or a School Library Advisory Council. These groups support their communities in varying ways — from reviewing challenged books to offering recommendations for proposed library materials.

Texas’ maternal health report was set to release on Sept. 1. Instead, the state is delaying the release — until after midterm elections. Delaying our access to information — which includes the consequences of Texas’ abortion ban — puts pregnant people at risk and leaves voters in the dark.
