We published this story late Friday afternoon amid an avalanche of news so I’m reposting it now because Kohen Wiley’s life mattered more than a box of diapers.

Radley Balko@radleybalko.bsky.social

So @lilianasegura.bsky.social and I just co-wrote a piece about the bodycam footage in the Kohan Wiley case. theintercept.com/2026/10/23/k...

MLS is coy about its product like its a Victorian ankle

Pablo Maurer@mlsist.bsky.social

I helped make a killer social video that includes Henry's extended answer to this question - unfortunately, MLS wanted literal thousands of dollars for the right to use the footage of Miller's free kick from 2012, so... we'll leave it there for now. I tried!

The truest essence of Social Media is the belief/assertion that everyone else on here is in a bubble only only you are in touch with the people and the working class, therefore you must enlighten them

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Thinking about that CEO who couldn’t find 3 words to describe her child and i think we need to christen the concept of Socioparchy to describe being ruled by absolutely insane sociopaths

Every month. A tech CEO gives an interview to Monstrous Human Monthly and they are like hell yeah this makes me look awesome

AverageJer@averagejer.bsky.social

Why would she allow that to be published?

Very exciting to hear Pauli are exploring path to professionalizing the women’s club

OBAMA: He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. It's gold everywhere.

Tangentially related I was thinking the other day about how St Paul voted for a sales tax to fix infrastructure/roads, but i think most residents would say nothing has changed. Changing mayors is a big part of this but local govts need to clearly show you results.

Alex Schieferdecker@alexschief.bsky.social

The Strib got ahold of @nerd4cities.bsky.social to ask about his recent Minneapolis city visit and impressions of our expanding network of bike infrastructure. Good interview, even better headline (I might be biased): www.startribune.com/ray-delahant...

I would just like all my homies who don't regularly come to the shows to know that this will change your life.

Black Hart of Saint Paul@blackhartstp.com

Y'all when we tell you that if you want to make one show at Black Hart this season, it's this one, we're being serious. 2 Dykes Walk into a Room is featuring the Season 1 King of Drag winner King Molasses and it's going to blow your minds. Saturday 9PM (Earlier start than usual) $10

I don’t engage with Jacobin stuff much and maybe I’ll read this book, but it feels like there are way easier ways to drive us toward more socialism than these very abstract transformative visions that seem a million years from reality

Yo this sounds like a good idea

Exc: Tax online sales more heavily to save high streets, Burnham urged by former top adviser Andy Haldane www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026... Today the @theguardian.com launches a package on how Britain can reverse the declining fortunes of towns - a key Burnham priority.

A Wall Street Journal reporter just did a line of coke and howled like a wolf

Is anyone interested in learning how many personal pan pizzas I earned through the Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program in second grade?

WSJ just… didn’t bother to ask the society if she was a member?!

Minnesota Star Tribune@startribune.com

Hours after the Wall Street Journal published a story questioning Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan’s claim she “graduated Phi Beta Kappa” from the University of Minnesota, the national honor society said that she is a member.

I know that long ago they sold out and changed the brand, but if the basic idea of your website is buying from individual creators and then your site is 80% slop, you've lost the entire value add

My brain cannot process this level of corruption. She was being paid $50 million to engineer a pardon from Trump *while working at the Justice Department* as a "Special Government Employee." And it worked. He got the pardon, and she got the money. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/20/u...

nytimes.comA Billionaire Wanted a Trump Pardon. His Family Gave Alina Habba a $50 Million Deal. (Gift Article)Julio Herrera Velutini, a prominent Venezuelan, was seeking clemency. He got it not long after his daughter gave Ms. Habba, a lawyer close to President Trump, an extraordinarily lucrative job.

She was accused of shoplifting diapers. Just insane, evil shit

JUST IN: The police shooting that killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley as he sat in his mother’s lap in a Walmart parking lot in Senatobia, Miss., in June “was justified,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office said on Monday. Her office will not charge the white officer who shot the child.

why do we bash "dead beat" children for not being there for their parents but we never question if the parent has bad vibes? or if they're just unpleasant to be around?

What a game on Saturday. Loons stormed back from 2-0 down after just 10 minutes to claim a much-needed win over a red-hot St. Louis City squad. Here's what the comeback sounded like on the radio call.
