hey, are you in hell? take this easy pattern from watashi no teddy bear, a japanese teddy bear making book from 1993. I made it so you can print on a4 or letter paper, and added seam allowances. even if you're bad at sewing, a friend is a friend no matter how they look. make as many as it takes.

Was talking to some students about my thoughts on game design earlier today. I portrayed it as a form of curation rather than problem solving. You start with envisioning an intended play experience. You want the audience to get there via the creative use of mechanics/features.

It is discouraging and disgusting to see a bunch of fellow voice actors - especially those with vast tenures and resumes - who say for "No Ai In VO" who also proudly use Gen Ai to create "ai images/art" on Instagram. You cannot say "no Ai in my profession" and then use it to take jobs from others.

Also: if you're a project producer who genuinely doesn't have the money to pay folks—the solution isn't to use ""generative"" plagiarism software. Folks *will* be open to working with you, even pro bono, if you're organized, transparent about project expectations/workflow/etc, and safety-minded.

I'd add this: not only is this team *phenomenally* fun to work with, but whether you're union or non-union, this contract has union-level, legally enforceable AI protections. If they're ever violated? The union's legal team will pursue damages. For free. Not that that'll be a problem, <cont'd>

I think folks underestimate how useful and *cool* it is to let actors play off of their castmates' previously-recorded audio, especially in videogames and ADR (where lead-in lines can be set to cue). You get the energetic exchange of multi-person scenework with the efficiency of a solo session.

Set up at Asian Board Games Festival Malaysia for the weekend, selling and showcasing tabletop roleplaying games and storygames form local designers (including me), and hopefully meeting people interested in playing them in Penang!
