Baltimore has spent lots of money to keep its city-owned hotel operating. Hotel just had its worst year ever. All hotel occupancy in the CBD is down. A master plan is needed to flip the script.

Yep. This is true. Billionaires don't want to pay more in tax but they happily spend millions to try to influence elections. So they don't get taxed more. That's the cycle. Thank you SCOTUS for creating it.

This is good to see. Ohio's biggest newspaper calling Ramaswamy's attack on Amy Acton disqualifying. It's shameful how he has politicized child sex abuse

Hoodlum 🇺🇸@nothoodlum.bsky.social

Ohio’s biggest newspaper broke its own rules to endorse Amy Acton, calling Ramaswamy’s vile attack ad disqualifying. “Using childhood sexual abuse as a weapon against the person who endured it crosses a line Ohioans should defend, whatever their party.” thedailybeast.com/trumps-maga-...

Trump insults the intelligence of Alaska voters. Claiming they don't know the meaning of "incumbent"

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump says Alaska’s ballot is illegal because people don’t know what “incumbent” means

Obama wasted no words in his criticism of Trump today in Ohio

Headquarters@headquartersnews.bsky.social

Barack Obama: When you've been campaigning as long as I have, you can tell when an election comes along that just feels a little bit different. After 2 years of chaos, cruelty, corruption, and incompetence, the likes of which we have not seen in modern times, you get a chance to say enough is enough

It is a sad day(s) in this country when we can't have an election without having to go court to fend off a completely unethical and unnecessary attempt to disrupt the results

Marc Elias@marcelias.bsky.social

🚨BREAKING: On behalf of Mary Peltola's campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Elias Law Group has filed to fight DOJ's lawsuit to rig the Alaska Senate election. We will win this case, Mary will win this election, she will be certified and seated.

Fmr Biden official: to bring sanctioned Russian energy giant Novatek into Alaska "is terrible on environmental grounds, it is a terrible idea on economic and geopolitical grounds, and most importantly this feeds the belief that Putin can get an out-of-jail-free card.”

Anne Applebaum@anneapplebaum.wsocial.eu

A wild story: the CEO of a US energy company whose plans were discussed during the Witkoff-Kushner-Putin negotiations resigns. Why? He learned that his company's main investor is a sanctioned Russian company, not the UAE www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/u...

$4 mil attack ad using Amy Acton's mother. From whom she has been estranged after her stepfather was accused of raping her. And who left 2 kittens to die in a hot car and was found not credible. How low can people go?

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

🚨 NEW: The mother featured in Vivek Ramaswamy’s $4 MILLION attack ad against Amy Acton was found “not credible” by a court in an animal neglect case involving newborn kittens left in a 120°F car. Two kittens died. The disturbing details Ramaswamy’s ad leaves out:

We are less than 2 weeks from the election. Trump is already trying to disrupt results. His insecurity runs deep.

Marc Elias@marcelias.bsky.social

Donald Trump has sent his DOJ cronies to file a bullshit lawsuit to try to steal a Senate election in Alaska. They will fail. When we fight, we win.🗳️⚖️💪

This is disgusting. Total disrespect. Who knows what he would do as a governor for women and girls who have been abused

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

NEW: Vivek Ramaswamy says Amy Acton being a victim of childhood sexual abuse makes her “flawed” while defending his ad featuring her estranged mother. “In politics sometimes it's a tough sport.”

Trump is immoral. No mention at all of why Amy Acton was estranged from her mother. And the abuse she suffered as a child. Bad enough that Ramaswany used her mother in an ad. Trump just makes it worse.

Agree. Members of Congress need to see this. And do something. Trump is completely ineffective on the threat of AI.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

Every member of Congress needs to see this ad. The fact that we’ve reached this point should terrify everyone.

This is correct. The First Amendment has no exception for polls Trump doesn't like. And yet the FCC Chair is threatening TV stations for reporting on them. We are in for a rough ride in the upcoming election.

Norm Eisen@normeisen.bsky.social

Two weeks out, Trump's FCC chair is warning TV stations that polls showing Trump & the GOP losing could count as "News Distortion" The First Amendment has no exception for polls the president doesn't like The poll that matters most is Nov 3, & Carr can't keep that one off the air -TN

A lot can go wrong. Hegseth is in way over his head.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

This is some dystopian nightmare crap. We’re moving from AI helping humans make decisions to AI making life and death decisions with minimal human oversight. What could possibly go wrong?

Early voting in some states has started. So expect more threats like this from Trump over the next 13 days -- Won't pay claims related to toxic water unless GOP wins in NC. Abuse of power.

Watch the whole thing. Trump snaps at reporters. Stephen Miller goes on a rant. It's really unbelievable what this administration has become.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

😳 Trump loses it and SNAPS at a string of reporters, says Ilhan Omar might "go to jail," calls Somalia "a shit house," and boasts that thanks to a new program he announced today Americans "will make millions of dollars by turning others in" during absolutely deranged Oval Office event Supercut:

This appears to be the start of Trump's effort to disrupt elections by using law enforcement to arrest people for election related crimes. Which probably aren't crimes at all based on the administration's past practices

Marc Elias@marcelias.bsky.social

The Trump administration launched a sweeping operation in California Monday, arresting 11 people and charging 28 lawful permanent residents with election and immigration-related crimes as it seeks to bolster a lawsuit targeting more than 20,000 voters. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Nothing like threatening voters as they go to the polls.

Marc Elias@marcelias.bsky.social

🚨BREAKING: A top federal prosecutor in Texas began the first day of early voting with a stark message to voters: “If you violate federal election law, I will hunt you down and prosecute you. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. We’ll see you out at the polls.” www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Billionaires paying their fair share of taxes is more effective than 'gifting' stock shares to children

Forbes@forbes.com

Musk’s announcement came hours after he reacted to Anthropic’s plan to dedicate 5% of its shares to a public benefit fund by urging it to give shares to the public instead.

71% think the country is on the wrong track. Trump has lost some support among Republicans. But it remains to be seen how this translates to election results in a couple of weeks.

Kyle Griffin@kylegriffin1.bsky.social

NBC News poll: 71% of U.S. adults think the country is on the wrong track. For the first time in Trump's second term, 'right track' has sunk into the 20s. Trump's approval is just 76% with Republican adults. His approval is 21% with independents.

88% in a recent UMBC poll thought big money in politics is a major problem for democracy. Here is our real life example.

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

Elon Musk has spent at least $366 million since July to boost Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms. That’s just 0.0385% of his total net worth. Oligarchs can rig the system at the expense of everyone else, and only spend pennies doing so. We must get Big Money out of politics.

Trump keeps repeating this completely false narrative.

Just saw a TV ad from Dan Schwartz (D) who is challenging incumbent Andy Harris (R) in Maryland's First Congressional District. Harris has recently gotten a lot of attention for clashing with citizens and a student reporter. Might this race be competitive?

Might this fit the definition of treason.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Russia is now exempt from the Lindsey O. Graham Russia Sanctions Act. The US government is clearly allied with Putin against Ukraine. Vote Republican enablers out.

10 yrs later, Barack Obama still draws a packed house. Trump won't like it but this is the legacy of real leadership

This is what was unleashed by the SCOTUS decision in Citizens United. Allowing a single individual (Elon Musk) to finance a Senate campaign. To protect his business interests in Texas.

Conor Sen@conorsen.bsky.social

Elon Musk is single-handedly funding the Ken Paxton campaign:

Trump is a convicted felon. All you need to know when he spouts stuff like this. With his low approval rating.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Honestly, I could've done numbers on Hillary Clinton. I could've done numbers on Bill Clinton. I could've done numbers on Barack Hussein Obama. Still could. I still could. I could do big numbers if I wanted to. Go after them. Criminally. Destroy their reputations."

Trump is using multiple strategies to disrupt and challenge voting. The latest - suing California to block the counting of mail in ballots of people the administration thinks are non-citizens

Joyce White Vance@joycewhitevance.bsky.social

“Similar past claims..of illegal voters have fallen apart..Last month election officials in Nevada said that they had examined a list..of 185 names of supposed noncitizens who had been improperly registered to vote & found that every person on the list was a..citizen. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/15/u...

Trump’s latest attack on renewable energy... Going after a wind farm off the New England coast that's already up and running

Bloomberg News@bloomberg.com

The Trump administration wants to re-evaluate a key permit for Orsted AS’s Revolution Wind farm off the Rhode Island coast, a move that would effectively hobble the already operating project.
