A chonker of a stallion who has an interest in art, writing, video games, and tabletop RPGs; proud MLP:FIM fan, and also a part of the furry fandom. I'll mostly be posting art on here, either stuff I commissioned or made myself. No minors allowed.

I was experimenting with line coloring - specifically, "automatically" having lines get colored by using a couple filters. Makes the art look quite a bit nicer, even if it's rough in spots! You can see the difference between the two for sure!

It's a lot quicker than coloring in the lines manually, but it also can leave quite a few rough spots. Still, it's useful if I want to pump out something quickly!

I might actually crash the fuck out in the next month because this unemployment shit won't last forever and nobody wants to hire anybody with IT skills apparently, because fuck me for wanting a sense of security

Nextfest still serving slop 2 days in, it might be cooked fam. I think the only way forward is for Valve to blanket ban AI from nextfest and similar promotional events and spaces. Even if you let them exist, they don't have a place in spaces primarily for promoting indies.

For reference, in the past two months: - Got laid off from a job I was working at for three years when the job market is shit - Got booted out from a server because somebody apparently just thought I was THAT annoying, even though plenty of other people said I'm not (and it wasn't the server owner)

- Brother had an alcohol-withdrawal induced seizure - Brother had another alcohol-withdrawal induced seizure a little over a week later I mean, can you really fucking blame a guy for expecting life to throw another punch at me?

Been seeing a lot of toony dragon art recently, so I decided to doodle Corwin as one. Had to use a LOT of art references for toony stuff from a buncha different people, (Eligecos, Tacocat, Sturaptor, Emithegoat, Jarggy, and more I can't fit here) because I haven't done a lot of toony art.

Things learned: - Hehe big derg - FUCK paws are harder to draw than I thought I needed photo references for that - CSP has a shading assist which is neat (not used here) - Can make easy colored outlines with a neat trick

Oh god, now that I have a proper fursona I have such a HUGE tf mood now... What if he became an elephant? Perhaps a big dragon? Or a whale? Maybe a hydra? Or perhaps a big bull? Or a kaiju? Perhaps a robot? Mermaid? Soooo many possibilities....

Left 4 Dead 2: While Left 4 Dead is already listed here, it was me watching somebody play L4D2 that made me eventually want to get a “modern” gaming console (we had a Wii and a PS2). It also led to me getting my mom to buy the first L4D on a clearance sale, leading to me making my Steam account!

Half-Life 2 and Half-Life: Made me become a big fan of Valve, which is still my most beloved game company today! It also taught me about the modding capabilities that games could have!

Honorable Mentions: Garry’s Mod: What isn’t there to say about it? I still play it every once in a while! But it helped me dive deep into the brony fandom, with my most visited servers being PonyLiving and Equestria Horizons. People who know me from there may know who Jeff the Nonsensical Hobo is.

Virtual Magic Kingdom: My first MMO, and my first experience with a game you’ve dedicated a lot of time to being shut down. It helped me learn about other multiplayer online games, such as Club Penguin and Roblox. I last played it in 2008!

Call of Duty: World at War: My first Call of Duty game, and one of the earliest FPS games I can remember playing! I played it on Xbox 360, and I had a blast with it. It helped me realize how fun other FPS games were.

Pony Town: Not really a game but more of a virtual chat room with ponies! I met a bunch of friends through here since I began playing in 2016. I still have a group of friends I do roleplay with(no, not ERP) in-game. It also makes for a good character reference creator!

Team Fortress 2: Not the first multiplayer shooter I played, but I met a LOT of people on it. I also got into the brony community through it as well, and even made a map for a pony-focused server! (Slender_Arizona)

Minecraft: This one helped foster my creativity when I first played it back in 2012. I also joined a server, MLP focused, dedicated to rebuilding Equestria as it appears in MLP:FIM. The server was called Brohoof.

The Sims 2: Helped me fall in love with my first cherished gaming company, Maxis. It also helped influence my love for architecture more. ROBLOX: I played it in 2008 to 2012. It was a very different time, but the games were fun and it got me into multiplayer games. Not the only mmo I played ofc…

Left 4 Dead: This game is what got me into PC gaming. It made me realize that my mom’s crappy laptop could actually handle more than I thought it could. Eventually led to me getting a gaming PC a few years later.

SSX Tricky: The earliest game I can remember playing a lot. My whole family would play it together. Simcity 4: I wasn’t good at it as a kid, but it helped influence my love of cityscapes and architecture, and my love for city building games. Helped my creativity too.

Since LED lights are being mentioned again... I nearly overturned at a four-way intersection at night because two cars on the other side had LEDs on. One was an SUV taller than my car. I nearly drove off the intersection because I was literally squinting and struggling to see.

Thankfully, I was able to turn at the last second and avoid hitting the lamp post, or careening into the small pond in front of the fire station at that said intersection. Ban LED headlamps. I don't give a shit if they're environmentally friendly, they're a fucking danger to drivers & pedestrians.
