Thank you, Somerset Ward. I am so honoured to keep fighting for you at City Hall for another four years. More than 100 volunteers and 200 donors built this campaign from the ground up. I believe in us, thank you for believing in me. ❤️

Running for public office is a profound act of service, sacrifice and hope. I appreciate how this campaign was so respectful and collegial. Congratulations to Robert Dekker, Michael Tay, Nicholas Gollé and Dillon Anderson for running in Ward 14 and bringing thoughtful ideas to the table.

Come join us at 8pm at Deacon Brodies on Elgin to watch the election results tonight!

Community safety means care and support for everyone who needs it. And the resources to make sure we can all feel comfortable in our homes and on the street. You can count on me to fight for downtown neighbourhoods and push the city to treat chronic homelessness with the urgency it deserves.

This interview with former mayor Larry O’Brien is WILD. He admits that being mayor is not a starter job and that promising zero or ultra-low tax increases is basically impossible to achieve. Hindsight and accountability: I like it. Will voters take this to heart? www.ctvnews.ca/ottawa/video...

Thank you to Lucy Van Oldenbarneveld (former anchor of CBC TV evening news), for joining us to canvass on Lyon Street tonight! Election Day is on MONDAY and we are working hard to make sure people know where they can vote. Make your plan to vote and find your poll at troster2026.ca/vote!

Booked COVID and flu shots for me and my family for the day after the election.

We are reminding residents to get vaccinated against flu, COVID-19 and RSV this fall. Please read the PSA here: https://ottawa.ca/en/city-hall/city-news/newsroom/ottawa-public-health-reminds-residents-get-vaccinated-against-flu-covid-19-and-rsv-fall

What a beautiful evening to knock on doors in Chinatown. Lots of great conversations and support from neighbours who want to see solutions to chronic homelessness that care for people while keeping our neighborhoods safe for everyone. Only a few more days to go! Sign up at: troster2026.ca/shifts.

If we want to restore transit reliability, we need to include rank-and-file operators as part of the transit committee. We also need to reverse the cuts that have contributed to the transit death spiral in Ottawa.

Congratulations to Piano Place for officially opening your new location at Bronson and McLeod. It was so lovely to meet Kristina and John and see the beautiful new space. Centretown families: this is a great place to take your kids for piano lessons! Check them out at: pianoplaceottawa.com

Thank you to everyone who voted in the advance polls today, and to all of the volunteers who hit the streets and knocked on doors in crappy weather today. This is what democracy looks like ❤️

Advance Voting Day is officially here! Vote for your choice of Mayor, City Councillor and School Board Trustee at your voting place from 10 am to 8 pm. See you there! #ItStartsHere #OttVote #OttCity

We need to be treating chronic homelessness with the same urgency as a flood or earthquake. We saw how the city jumped into action after the July 1st floods, this is the kind of swift and coordinated action I will be pushing for.

Every building should have its own Kerry. A 28-year resident of the @ccochousing.bsky.social building on Gilmour, Kerry Beckett is a community institution. She helps seniors cross the road. She checks in on people when they are sick. And she calls emergency services when there is a crisis.

Kerry knows everyone’s name and she is who they go to if they need help. Do you have a Kerry in your building or on your block? Because people like her are what makes Centretown a great place to live. ❤️

Toronto bike lane removal. When your infrastructure project has huge police protection and the contractors hide the logos on their trucks and gear, you are in the wrong.

In the end, the lanes come out.

Jeff Leiper and I put forward a motion to restore 5 minute LRT frequency during off-peak hours and it was defeated by the current mayor and a majority of council.

MAdair@madair336.bsky.social

I know it's 11:30 at night but 15 minute headways is a complete waste of our LRT infrastructure investment. Improve the service, you'll get more riders @jleiper.bsky.social @arieltroster.bsky.social

Thanks to residents of 151 Bay Street for once again organizing a candidates’ debate in the lobby of your building. Special thanks to the incomparable Brenda Knight for moderating. And to the corgi in the audience for not judging us too harshly.

Advance polls are this Friday, and we need your help to get out the vote! We have four volunteer shifts available, in person or on the phone. This is how we build a better city — block by block and vote by vote. Visit Troster2026.ca/shifts to sign up and join us!

Relying on one small charity as the ONLY 24/7 drop-in centre in the city is unfair to everyone involved. I will be pushing for a comprehensive strategy for purpose-built respite facilities that are dispersed through the city and not over-concentrated in Centretown and Sandy Hill.

With only two weeks to go until E-Day, I am thankful for the dozens of volunteers and nearly 200 donors supporting this campaign. Building a better city is a group project, and you have been all-in. Rest up, because then we won’t stop till October 26th ✊

After a sunny morning knocking on doors, I am looking forward to taking the rest of the long weekend off to recharge before the last two weeks of the election campaign. I am so thankful to the dozens volunteers who have joined me to talk to neighbours since mid-July. It takes a village!

I am so impressed with Keelin Pringnitz. We have been knocking on doors together for weeks, and I can tell you that she is brilliant, dedicated and an incredible advocate for public education. When you mark your ballot for OCDSB trustee, vote for Keelin!

I met two very good boys with extremely appropriate names tonight. The wiener dog is named Limousine. And the cat, who I had to chase down the hall, is named Trouble.

It was nice to take a break from door knocking to make soup and cornbread to bring to Highjinx for their All Candidates Meet and Greet. I had a great time chatting with the neighbours. Thanks to Karen and Leigh for organizing!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Pints and Politics fundraiser at Spark Beer last night. With 17 days to go till the municipal election, we still need your support to knock on every door and keep building the city we deserve. Visit troster2026.ca to donate or volunteer!
