Doing DNS transitions mid-day from Google Cloud to Cloudflare guided by Claude made me realize how much I trust this tool 😅.

40 years since the world-changing meeting between Gorbachev and Reagan in Reykjavik. The story goes that the KGB people had never seen Tom and Jerry, so for them, it was two days of that and vodka. Maybe it had its contribution to connecting the west and the east 😆.

Good times ❤️

32 years ago today, we held the launch party for DOOM II at the Limelight in NYC, a former church. Happy birthday to DOOM II, but also, happy birthday to the Super Shotgun, the be-all and end-all of many a monster.

Also, it makes me sad that out of the ~110 EUR I paid for the books, shipping, and taxes, only a single-digit number will end up in the author's pocket.

I never managed to pay for Wolfenstein 3D (the student's software licenses budget in Bulgaria, shortly before the end of last century, was often 0 lv.), but although I was not an avid gamer, I have fond memories and enormous respect for the engineering that went into it.

Replaced a bunch of if/else logic with RxJS streams + ts-pattern matching. So much easier to reason about. I wish the streams could be hibernated and resumed somehow. #event-architecture

From all the hype around Cursor and Windsurf, I keep dreaming of a day when I can mumble out "Extract all access to 'users' collection to a repository🧙‍♂️" but every time I try it, it leaves soooo very much to be desired and I have to clean up so much it practically makes it worthless.

New architecture seems within reach now. Exciting …

This is huge! Congratulations @expo.dev on a truly groundbreaking release! There are so many things to be excited about here… Not sure how you manage to keep up that stream of never-ending innovation… anyway, really impressed, and really inspired to build amazing apps. Congrats again!

Wondering what is the level of support for Markdown in Bluesky 🤔. I think it would be a good match with the “spirit” of the platform.

You are up to date.
