Anyone else going as Pumpkin Hill from Sonic Adventure 2 for Halloween this year or just me? 🎃⛰️ The costume has a treasure hunting minigame where you can move Knuckles across the “level” and the radar necklace will blink as you get closer to the hidden emerald in the pockets 💎 I love Halloween!!

Does anyone have a name for the type of story where the main character is trying to get something well within their capabilities done but ridiculous nonsense just keeps happening to them? Just watched The Daytrippers and thinking about that style of story

Before going on a journey of revenge, dig two graves. This act of community service makes the revenge morally neutral.

Just realised I haven't posted about the lizards in a while so here's a quick update: They're still pouring out of every vent in my house and I'm still no closer to finding a solution

Watched The Red Shoes with my partner and we just talked about movies for like an hour afterwards. Movies are good!

Reading a little bit of Astro City before bed every night is great! I highly recommend reading a little bit of Astro City every night before bed.

To give an obvious take 30 years out of date: Astro City is a phenomenal comic

Nothing stays read. Go experience media you want to experience again, even if it doesn't give you a new entry on your media trackers. Even without memory concerns you bring something new to it every time because you are new every time.

I don’t keep track of the comics I have read, but I do keep track of what I intend to read. If I find I’ve forgotten important details about a comic I have read before, it goes back on the list for review. The fallacy of these tracking apps is that memories are impermanent, so nothing “stays read.”

Just got all my boys together to take on the wandering ronin who came to town. There’s like 15 of us and only one of him so pretty much the only thing that would give me any pause is if he was master of the devastating and lightning-fast iaidō style. But that’s not likely. Coward hasn’t even drawn h

Oops, one dungeon down and I've already broken two high value weapons

I've been 🤏 this close to replaying Dark Cloud and this might just be the post that gets me there

I have played in the past few months: Doom Doom II Masters Levels for Doom II Legacy of Rust Doom 2016 I have now hit Doom Eternal once more and going directly from 2016 to Eternal is so weird that I feel like I need someone to invite me on a podcast to talk about it

Scruff@scruff.zip

I have been playing so much Doom

I think the most succinct I can put the difference is the presentation of Doom 2016 locks in and knows it's coming from an unstable place. Doom Eternal comes from a place assuming you're already fully onboard and that you will like everything it presents.

That this bot, which posts random stills and clips from the thousands of hours of VHS transfers on archive.org, landed on *this specific frame* feels like finding the monkey at the typewriter that managed to write Hamlet.

The Cartoon Network leak revealed that the team actually wrote fake interviews for the Powerpuff Girls in-house so that the writers could understand them better and honestly this is incredibly useful for learning how to characterize your characters holy shit
