Today we're officially sharing the "Introducing Patchwork-26" video from Lab Day at this year's @localfirstconf.com We bring you the first look at Patchwork-26, the latest in our ongoing effort to realize Malleable Software, Universal Version Control, and Local-First Software.

We put a live programming system's entire heap inside an Automerge document — every object, class, method shared + persistent. It all worked, but it was sloooow. New lab note with Dan Ingalls and @pvh.ca on the optimizations that made Livelymerge 64× faster: www.inkandswitch.com/livelymerge/...

I can't understate how good of a job the @inkandswitch.com folks did at this Automerge website. Wow, holy shit automerge.org And the fact that you can *interact* with the visual demo at the top? This is the new high bar for a technical website. Holy moly.

😲 We have a ✨packed✨ agenda for the September edition of the Automerge Community Call on the 24th! Updates & talks featuring @chee.party, @daffl.me, @spiralganglion.com, @seaofclouds.com, @patternist.xyz, @expede.wtf, and John Mumm! Don't miss out — RSVP here: luma.com/70fuozje

New longform @inkandswitch.com essay! 📜 Malleable Software: Restoring user agency in a world of locked-down apps by me, @joshuahhh.com, @pvh.ca and @seaofclouds.com inkandswitch.com/essay/mallea... It's about why people need agency over their software tools, and how to make that happen.

Hey game friends — come work at my place.
