Why does the government insist on trying to recover blood from a stone? If they want to aggressively recover so-called debts from people who've relied on Centrelink payments, they should at least wait until they can actually afford to live. @kristin8x.antipovertycentre.org on the latest debt BS

Oh for goodness sake, raise the rate and END mutual obligation. Mutual obligation only serves those who make money from administering it. And is a cruel rhetoric demonising those who are victims of our economy's supposed need for at least a 4.8% unemployment rate. @tanyaplibersekmp.bsky.social

Why did the Western Australian regulators not already know what was going on with massive methane leaks at Gorgon? And why the delays? Who pays? Woodside wants to do similar “safe” gas extraction at Scott Reef. Should we let them? Tell our governments: HELL NO! No more coal, gas or oil.

The Australian political & media class may read this and smugly think: 'We're not as bad the US'. But all the signs are that, without real change, we are heading in a similar direction. And as grievances build, we will need far more than "civility" to maintain a fraying social contract. #auspol

Labor has introduced a ‘robo assessment’ algorithm to assess aged people for home care packages. CARE FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE DECIDED BY AN ALGORITHM! 8 out of 10 QLD health professionals said it underestimated levels of need. It is unacceptable to remove HUMANS from this decision.
