Thinking about atproto login flow and I’m leaning towards the following: 1. No technical jargon, let the infrastructure fade into the background. 2. Identity is contextual, use language that reflects intent (writing as, reading as, etc). 3. Bring an identity or start a new one. Thoughts?

I like it. What if the hint text changed every second or so between a few popular providers? I like the idea of visually reinforcing "not just bluesky" at a glance.

I tried this for the placeholder text, it felt kinda busy.

I could see that. Care to share a video? I'm thinking the instant switch might be a little jarring, whereas an animated scroll effect on it might feel slick.

It was a typewriter effect, let me see if I have a clip…. Found it ! Keep in mind this is before I changed the text 😅

Seems like Sean and I are thinking similarly. I'm imagining it looking like someone is scrolling through options, making the placeholder text fade out as it moves up while the next placeholder fades in from the bottom. bsky.app/profile/sean...

It'll be a nerd snipe race to show, not tell it seems.

Hahaha I'm so tempted to upend my plans for the day to make this

Please do ! Keep in mind that we also want whatever it is to be somewhat easily adoptable 🤷‍♀️
