It's still hitting me that #deno runtime is no more. 🫠 I was so frustrated with #nodejs. I refused to use after deno came into the picture. 😓 One of my favorite abilities was making tiny cli/scripts tools with it. Sure I can write in #golang or the many others, but deno was nice quick way. 😎

There is still one year promised support - question is if after that one year, there would be huge enough community to take over the development efforts of it in open source fashion? Maybe Cloudflare could donate this to JS Foundation or Linux Foundation to give some sustainability to the project?

It's very possible it would be picked up by some foundation. But the dedicated focus until then is dead. And may not return. So it's abandoned for at least a year. That's the problem.
