Recommended new half-term activities: supermarket trip with 15 year old to decide what to put in the stockpile shelf We did establish the 3 days rule was 'just in case' for storms, power cuts, or internet failures, etc - not because WW3 is about to break out. (Govt gives the vibe it may think that)

But we will have to eat the stockpiled digestives + shortbread, crisps + peanuts by the end of 2027. Perhaps this should become an annual family + national occasion when you eat some of it + restock to celebrate survival. (The 15 year old does not think the rice pudding should be involved though)

I'm in a cave rescue team. We maintain stocks of high energy food for cold/exhausted/hypothermic customers *. Meetings can be quite enjoyable when they reach expiry dates. * Excluding sheep and cows, we don't cater for them.

If it's a cow, the last thing you want is a heavier cow. And if they have gone far, more likely to be a roast dinner kit in several parts. Luckily a rare event. Sheep aren't cooperative at the best of times, best keep them subdued:)
