My thesis remains that Trump's information environment is primarily sycophantic right-wing media, lies from his advisors, and AI slop his staff create to show him the world he wants to see. And anything that challenges that picture, he assumes must be dishonest or fake.

He lives in a pro-Trump fantasy world, where everything he does turns out great and everyone loves him. And his cognitive faculties are so far-gone that he doesn't clock that his staff and his TV friends are just feeding him bullshit to keep him happy.

Completely agreed. I always go back to the debate with Harris, when the moderators flat out said "no one is eating pets" and he was reduced to stammering "but but the people on the TV said" as they quickly moved on. He seemed genuinely shook
