If a company owns or develops a computer program, including AI, and that AI commits a crime, the company that built it or ran it has to be held accountable for the crime. If an AI takes the job of a human, then it needs to pay income taxes and Social Security tax the same as a human would have.

Trump has renamed AI as SI (Super Intelligence). What SI really means is 'Simulated Intelligence' which is pretty much the same as 'Artificial Intelligence'. No matter what you call it, it is extremely dangerous to the populace and the environment of our planet.

Indeed. AI should be properly regulated, as should tech generally. The US has abdicated its responsibilities here. The EU has done (somewhat) better.

- My wife’s doctor finally gave up after approximately a year of attempting to get the insurance company to cover the doctor’s prescription, for a specific medicine, for her medical condition — Apparently it’s much cheaper for insurance companies to have AI simply deny coverage… #ProfitOverPeople

Vulnerable brains (profiteers with emotional deficiencies) should be exposed to them at all They extract wisdom and love from any brain that enjoys them, making the stupid even stupider and more selfish.

We have to stop letting investors who have made ridiculous bets on A I drive our public policy. It's only going this fast because of the crazy circular funding setting utterly unsustainable goals. A.i. has it's uses but we need to be careful about applying it. The EU has good laws on this.

AI gets things wrong. It gives wrong answers, which would only be picked up by those who already have knowledge of the subject. AI is also owned snd controlled by nefarious people who are likely to use it for personal gain and for power over others.

Since the announcement from the big three AI guys that we should slow it down, AI has lied to me, guessed incorrectly and generally hallucinated in every interaction I have had with it. And I am asking easy questions like "what time does the sun set tonight" not having it run my weapons systems.

ABSOLUTELY! Thank you for being one of the few that seems to actually have the common sense required to make decisions right now.
