Tomorrow it the day. I have my admission panel interview and learn whether I am going to become a doctor or be stuck in the rut of post bachelors blues.

Admissions interview next week for my doctorate of Pharmacy program. Wish me luck as I attempt to become an amazing clinician in this field and pursue my dream of helping out those battling terminal illnesses.

Starting to think there is something wrong with me. Why is a scientific background, 20+ years of customer service, fluency in ASL and English, and life experience not good enough to find employment anywhere. I can't even find a dang part time job. It has to be me, as nothing else makes sense.

So I read "The Mortons" which is a book that has achieved a decent amount of social media clout as of late. I loved parts of it, but it fell flat for me. The idea was great, the story was okay, the world building was confusing, and the pacing was all over the place. A solid 2.6/5 #booksky #review

another module down. I am about to be an amazing health care worker, I promise I am absorbing all of this information and understand everything

Well, lecture on scope of duty in a hospital pharmacy complete, personal essay 1/3 of the way polished, and one more test out of the way. It looks like I am making ground towards graduate school faster than anticipated.

This week 6 September, my goal is to review the book Dungeon Crawler Carl, and at least one more TV show. I will eventually get caught up.

Will you look at that. A degree in biology and environmental science with a certificate in horticulture and over 20 years teaching experience means that I am not qualified to work 10 hours a week teaching people how to garden? The job market is shit.

I am almost to the point of giving up. I don’t know what else to do at this point. It is absolutely disgusting that I can’t work.

37k for any degree is insulting. How do they expect people will have paid for said degree at that salary? Or, how do they expect people will be able to pay off student loans with 37k? They're setting themselves up for the position to be a revolving door for short-term, low-performing employees.

If you demand a bachelors degree and 3 years of experience in order to fulfill the job you had better offer more than 37k salary. I am not taking a job that would kick me off Medicaid and food stamps while also not paying for my gas and rent let alone food. That is slavery!

I am so sick of people stealing our kids future for profit. There is nothing that pisses me off more than exploiting the innocent for the profit of the corrupt.

Oh and the cutting down of heritage cherry trees for the construction of a golf course that nobody asked for is absolute garbage. It makes my heart sink to realize that nobody cares about our planet.

I think I have discovered television perfection in the form of "The Pitt" Season 1. I wrote up my review of it but in summary the nature of the show and the way it is written made this show one of the best things I have ever seen. theworldfrommybrain.wordpress.com/2026/09/01/t... #reviews #tvshows

theworldfrommybrain.wordpress.com“The Pitt” Season 1 (2025)4.8/5 I never watched the tv show ER but after watching this show I may have to. You see I made the mistake of turning this show on while sitting in an ICU room next to my toddler child who was in …

My backlog of blog posts and videos I need to create keeps growing. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get them all done in time, but good golly I am going to try.

I have hit a brand new record. 100 employment rejections in a row. I think I need to manifest some sort of influencer cred or I might end up on the streets.

I finally did it. I decided that I wanted to see what the hype was and started reading “Dungeon Crawler Carl” and I have some early thoughts (200 pages in). I can see why people enjoy it and I can see why people hate it. Even though it is slop it is really fun and might become a guilty pleasure

Been working on a video script to try and sell the idea that the book "Walden" by Thoreau is still relevant today. I don't feel like I am doing it justice as I am having issues trying to figure out how to sell it to a generation that doesn't read, let alone understand philosophical language.

And as soon as the First Lady came on I turned it off. This race is just propaganda and I hate it. I hope the Spaniard palou or the Mexican oward win but I refuse to watch the rest of the race. IndyCar may have screwed themselves with this event even if the setting is a cool one.

I used to read a lot of dystopian fiction but it never dawned on me how dystopian out lives had become until watching this Indy Race in DC and seeing the portraits of Trump hanging off the sides of buildings and announcement of the marine brass band as “Trump’s Personal Band” I am sad.

Ugh I should have avoided watching the lead up the the Indy race today. Propagandist BS with close ups of a jerk that will fall asleep in ten minutes all to appease his fragile ego. Can’t wait for the midterms to be over.

I am struggling I am excited to watch the race tomorrow in DC but hate that it is sponsored by Starlink and done so our president can show off how great he is in his own mind. Very conflicted.

I have spent the last two months in the ICU with my toddler. I come out and see how detrimental the effects of this drought has been this year. I am worried about the future of our planet, my child, and this country. It is a huge burden to try and handle. #climatechange #drought #worry

My grandfather is a Korean War vet and our current leader has forgotten the sacrifice of the military. He is so worried about being perceived as strong that he is willing to destroy the legacy of our service members because the Kim family has nukes. I am pissed!

Found a problem with silicon fidgets… they work great until you hit an autistic shutdown and then they get ripped to shreds and you have to find a new one. I was kind of attached to the one I destroyed today. Sad to see it go.

Just finished "The Pitt" season 1 and absolutely loved it! I have some writing to do before I give it a formal review but it came in at 4.8 out of 5 stars according to my criteria making it one of the best tv shows that I have ever seen. #reviews #tvshows #thepitt.

I liked it so much I jumped straight into season 2 which thus far I can almost guarantee that it will not rank as high as the first season. Sophomore blues? or is it just that hard to top the premier season of a great show?

It’s official I am going to raise my own food from here on out. Eggs that can kill you, lettuce that can kill you, and jalapeños that can kill you. It’s almost like factory farming and farm conglomerates are not only bad for the environment but bad for our health. Who would have thought?

just saw an advertisement that made me lose all hope for the future. the premise was that applying for jobs is dead and we should just let AI apply for jobs on our behalf. They are literally attempting to outsource job hunting to robots. I think I am entering my Luddite era.

Why is doing something for your health so damn dangerous. I am livid right now and scared and anxious all because my Mother in law has deduced something I don’t want her to know because I don’t know that I want to know. Grrr. Someone please tell me it will be okay! Please!

You know I am starting to think that Taylor Farms might just be a horrible company and I might need to start growing my own produce. At least I know what fertilizer I'm putting on my own garden.

Burritos were $16 a few years ago so people voted for the guy who almost immediately made them $20 and removed all the flavor unless you want forever diarrhea.

Enjoying this #PortlandGP today. I have really began to appreciate Indy Car and American open wheel racing. A lot of fun.

I keep looking at epoxy and resin artists and get so inspired and then I remember that the smell and the tactile stuff drives me bananas and I hate it. Oh well, I’ll let them do their stuff.

I wish I lived in one of my books or movies. I would love to live in a place where people are kind, genuine, and honestly authentic. I hate going out in society and not knowing who to trust because I am told people are bad.

Just finished the first season of “Best Medicine” and have to admit I loved it. A solid 4 out of 5 stars for an American remake of one of my favorite subtle comedic dramas. This show might even be better than the original.

Sat and watched the end of the Sri Lankan Cricket playoff qualifier today just for mental repetition and nerve soothing. I forgot how exciting T20 rules can be, the drama of that game made me sad when it was over.

So apparently you get more unable to process demands the more neurologically shutdown your body is. Who would have thought a simple change in script would cause so much anxiety about a phone call that I have to make to do something I don’t want to do in the first place.

Why do the affluent boomers feel the need to comment on everything? Apparently I am a problem in society because I haven’t been working nights while being primary care giver and supporting my family. I hate rich people and how out of touch they are, I wish this person can see the pain they caused.

Just finished "Paris by the Book" today. It was a trudge to get through, missed out on some heart, but the story was okay. I would however warn all of you contemporary readers that this might be one of those books that feels a bit like Paris itself, a great idea but in the end just a city. #booksky

I am so glad that I deconstructed and fled this religion in my youth. Every single thing that they do is more and more worrisome as of late and I have a hard time finding any good in this faith.
