It's still around, but has calmed down a lot. There's still some die-harders where any mention of AI is like murdering their mother, but they seem fewer and fewer.

Yeah, engagement on BS has been hit or miss for me. Feels like the communities that I care most about (data, ML, startups) have been just below the critical threshold. But maybe we're getting there...?

It's not like we're ever going to run out of things that people are oversensitive about.

it's possible the bilateral blocking is finally working out, but the other day I made some comments and the following rush of notifications were - dare I say - tipped slightly to the pro side

I have been using it as my main AI social network for almost a year now. I have posted about AI regularly and it's been fine. It was mostly one short lived incident a year ago and the backlash in that case made perfect sense IMO... but, YMMV, I guess? 🤷‍♂️
