This is why Elon Musk losing was such a huge deal. Months later the Supreme Court struck down an ancient law banning abortion. Good for Wisconsin!

Yes, I say yes to the private, reproductive health care rights for women. All of our civil rights depend on all of us getting those rights. White guys need to snap out of the Trump hate cult.

I get it. It's a win. Who's going to provide reproductive care with Planned Parenthood & Medicaid funding cuts for those who need it most? This is all assuming the federal government doesn't put new restrictions on it or make it so insurance companies won't let the DRS have malpractice insurance

Last April Elon Musk spent $20M to buy a race for Susan Crawford’s opponent, Brad Schimel. Justice happens when voters reject candidates funded by billionaires attempting to buy elections.

In Wisconsin, that means the R majority in the legislature would have to try to pass a new ban. They desperately don't want to do that, because 1) there's an election for a seat on the WI Supreme Court in April, and they can't afford to lose 2)Gov.Evers would veto it anyway.

It is about women's rights. But it is also about the right to bodily autonomy for all. There are many affiliated issues that could come in to play. The right to have a vasectomy. The right to infertility treatments. The right to medical and/or surgical transgender care.

Ma'am you decided to interpret my message as snarky, apparently just for the sake of feeling angry. I was politely pointing out a potential blindspot in your worldview that in my belief is important. I did not say abortion was bad, nor did I imply that I thought you thought abortion was bad.

It's... it's both? I'm confused about what you mean, and how a win for abortion rights isnt also supporting the rest of that list. Additionally, I'll point out that not everyone who can get pregnant are women. Trans and nonbinary people also exist and are also impacted by these laws.

Because its' never about the pro-life part of it. Focusing on controlling a woman's uterus is what they do to to control the whole woman. Same goes for all humans and their right to make their own health care choices and be seen as 100% equal under the law.

Of course its not part of the "pro-life" part of it. Claiming they care about babies is better PR, and a good way to get well-meaning folks on board who dont understand what they're really voting for. Abortion is the trojan horse. calling it abortion rights doesnt distract from that one bit, imo.

Wasn't in my wheelhouse, but Blanche on a phone call promises to make Roe a permanent law in all 50 states. One way would be to get Dr. Heidi Overton to head the FDA. She will rule that medication abortion unsafe and ban it. Call your Senator.
