I'm a long-time opponent of any form of capital punishment, so the choice to act is a no-brainer for me. But I recognize that Newsom's constituency includes the sociopaths of society, so I know his decision is a bit harder.

Fuck that, don't give Newsom a shred of grace. He's all too willing to throw trans folks under the bus and to destroy the lives of the unhoused. That motherfucker could do this regardless of "his constituency," any hesitation is just because he's a bastard.
