TIL that the opening of Onimusha 3 was directed by Takashi Yamazaki, director of Godzilla: Minus One! Sadly, nearly every upload of it is a stretched, GenAI abomination. So, I ripped and painstakingly upscaled what I consider the greatest video game cinematic ever from its 2007 PC release! Enjoy!

Yet again, the Game UI Database is being scraped to the point that it's getting knocked offline. Even Cloudflare's "I'm under attack" mode isn't working. I just wanted to create a resource for real designers. I'm getting so fucking sick of this.

You’ve gotta use AI because it’s the future. But also it’ll take your job. But also it’ll create a paradise on earth and solve most of our problems. But also it’ll end humanity soon. But also you’ll get left behind if you don’t use it right now.

It's weird how this keeps happening! Maybe we should look in to that?

Neil Armstrong never knew one of his greatest legacies live in Chinese public washrooms, where a parody of his famous "one small step" quote is plastered above every urinal, urging men to walk closer to avoid spillage. "One small step forward, one big step for civility".

Us men clearly gotta be better.

bsky.app/profile/hlee... I want to talk about this for a minute as an important case study in how conservative positions, completely divorced from reality, scaffold out their rhetorical credibility 🧵

What if I told you that all of the Publishing Agreements I have reviewed in the last 6 months (several dozen) included a no gen AI provision, wherein the use of gen AI in development is a material breach, but companies like Epic and EA are still trying to convince us the industry is cool with it

He's only gone and written 2,500 more words about how game devs feel about generative AI. Latest piece quotes around two dozen different people with an indie background. When asked how they feel about gen AI, not one, but two devs responded, "Fuck that shit." www.gamesradar.com/games/it-cre...

Trump is preparing to fire the leadership of the Smithsonian Institution, one of America's most prestigious scientific and historical research and education organizations. He wants in particular to censor the Smithonian's American History exhibits:

Illegal gambling sites. Illegal cab companies. Illegal hotels. Crypto for criminals. “Full Self-Driving.” The wholesale theft of billions of copyrighted works for AI. Surveillance capitalism. Automated price-fixing. Election rigging via media manipulation. Big Tech is organized crime.

My wife and I just had to travel to Connecticut and we were reminded just how tacky and gross billboards are. Just hundreds of personal injury lawyers' faces plastered all over the place, lottery pitches, and weirdly, crematories.

Back in the US and was reminded the only ads on TV are for prescription drugs, gambling, and psychos running for office.

Wild to have comic-con but for Nazis going on.

It’s early but there are protesters, including UNITED HERE Local 11 and Rep. Yassamin Ansari, already gathered outside the Border Security Expo at the Phoenix Convention Center chanting “no one is illegal” and holding a noise demo as attendees gather in to hear Tom Homan give the morning keynote.
