I have been tolerant and even modestly encouraging as my now-11-year-old son has embraced baseball fandom via the Dodgers the last couple years, but as a Cleveland fan myself, seeing him get his first taste of adversity in rooting, well:

Packers fan and my kids have only been able to follow them with me for the last ~10 years which means their only fan experience is promising success followed by crushing, idiotic defeat, every year when it ends I feel like they're judging me
