well they’re gonna want someone who can beat the other Big 12 Texas teams, for starters

Bruce Feldman@brucefeldmancfb.bsky.social

There’s a big opening at Baylor. There’s a lot of good coaches with Texas roots who really want this job. Expect a big swing — and keep an eye on these names. www.nytimes.com/athletic/772...

long shot, but if any of you happened to be at the Jeff Kinney / Wimpy Kid book event in Louisville tonight, you were treated to the rare spectacle of yours truly dancing (poorly) on stage

Tired of seasons that are all-but-done by midsummer, the Angels are said to be looking for a manager who can win in September and October. It's a bit unconventional, but one name who fits that mold? Current University of Cincinnati head football coach Scott Satterfield.

Angels make it official.

with prior success in the mid-Atlantic a priority, one name we can expect to see in the mix here is former Appalachian State head coach Scott Satterfield, who's taken a winning record into mid-October for the third straight year at Cincinnati

It really is touching how the Guardians found Petey Halpin at an orphanage, throwing rocks at neighborhood windows, always with his dog, a terrier with a spot over its eye. "Get out of here, Petey Halpin!" everyone would cry, but the Guardians ... they saw something different.

I have been tolerant and even modestly encouraging as my now-11-year-old son has embraced baseball fandom via the Dodgers the last couple years, but as a Cleveland fan myself, seeing him get his first taste of adversity in rooting, well:

Also he's shown more interest in talking about the Guardians than the Dodgers this week and there may or may not be a youth Jose Ramirez jersey arriving in the mail tomorrow

working backwards through the Vince McMahon meme as I see each name/entity involved here
