Ukraine has been asking for offensive weapons since the beginning of this war. This is the one area that I strongly disagreed with Joe Biden about. Bullies don't like for victims to fight back, and almost always, will back down. With the right weapons, Ukraine can bring Russia to it's knees, IMHO.

Agreed, all we've done up to now is give them the weapons to survive. If we provided Ukraine with offensive weapons they could end the war by themselves. The problem is that Trump is afraid of making Putin angry and expanding the war.

That's not what our "news" is reporting here at home. I sincerely hope that this is not propaganda. I did hear that Russia has lost more than a million troops in this war. You would think that some Russian families would want to know why. But then, they will only be told lies also.

Don’t forget that Ukraine daily bombs Russian factories and oil refineries, while still occupying some Russian territory. If Iraq did that, no, we wouldn’t speak of the American victory

You have a good point. Also, we have a 1 trillion dollar defense budget because we are worried about threats elsewhere. The aid we give Ukraine to hold Russia and maybe even allow them to retake their land would put less pressure on us to have a huge military to defend us from the world.

People agonizing over Trump's policy toward Russia are going to a lot of trouble for nothing. He may make noises about punishing them with sanctions or whatever, but Putin knows he is just posturing for US public opinion. He will always be controlled by his desire to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.

Despite N Korea sending troops to aid Russia, Ukraine is winning the war. The Black Sea Fleet isn't much of a fleet anymore, refineries have been disabled, the banking system is expected to crash within the next 12 months. This meeting was to get Putin the propaganda he needs and Trump delivered.

Ukraine Pres should tie Trumps minerals deal to the USA helping Ukraine END the war & retain its territory using Crimea as a bargaining chip. Hold a referendum vote in Crimea held by 3rd non partisan country. NO Advertising just Ukraine or Russia. Losing people get to leave selling their property

No sane Americans should be standing with Trump/Russia. I was in Moscow quite a long time ago and even then, when I ask Russians, how they liked Putin, most of them just shrugged and said "We finally got cellphones." That was his accomplishment, and the only one that made people's lives better.

At what cost? The average Russian lives on less than $8 K a year because Putin and his Oligarchs robbed them blind! It's what Trump wants to do to us and one of the reasons why he loves Putin.

Most of the Russians I met in Moscow were pleasant and helpful. When I was lost and asked a woman who spoke English if she she could point me toward my hotel, she walked me all the way back to it. But the city felt grim, from the unsmiling armed soldiers at the airport to the weary metro riders.
