I would add that THIS government, where a guy with brain worms runs HHS, a drunkard runs Dept of Defense, and Kristi Noem runs Homeland Security, doesn’t deserve funding. Very sorry for the career civil servants and citizens who will suffer most from a shutdown.

Congress took all of August off. No budget. The first 2 weeks of September the house worked 4 days a week. (according to the congressional calander). No budget. They are taking the 3rd week of September off. Still no budget. This is the job of Congress provide a budget. No budget no time off.

I can't find a cut-off switch mentioned anywhere in the constitution. It is implied that it works 24/7, unless governed by Republicans; who aren't even mentioned by name, in the damn thing.
